DISCOVERY VINEYARD (Horse Heaven Hills)

Discovery Vineyard was first planted in 2005 and is owned by Kay and Milo May. They co-manage the vineyard with Paul Champoux who acts as consultant and mentor. The 30 acre site which overlooks the Columbia River has 17 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. Elevation on average is 550 feet and the soil is wind-blown loess over fractured basalt. All training, pruning and harvesting is by hand.
